The Administrator of the Corfu “AGIA IRINI” General Hospital is Ms. ADAMANTIA EFSTR. ENGLEZOPOULOU.
Graduate of the Department of Public Administration of Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences. She holds the following postgraduate degrees:
- Health Services Administration of the National School of Public Health/Department of Health Services Organization and Management, Athens and
- Epidemiology of Health Services, Health Impacts and Quality of Health Units of the Universita Degli Studi Dell’ Aquila Italy.
She is a PhD from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (The Measurement and Evaluation of Perioperative Procedures as an Indicator of Quality and Safety in the Operating Room).
She has been involved in the implementation of Quality Management Systems, the preparation of Strategic Plans, Emergency Response Plans, Targeting Plans, Operating Regulations, international quality and safety “tools” in health, as well as the monitoring of procedures and the observance and evaluation of relevant indicators. She has served as:
- Deputy Governor (2019-2023) of the Athens General Hospital “LAIKO”.
- Head of Departments in positions of responsibility at the “SISMANOGLIO-AMALIA FLEMING” General Hospital – ORGANIC UNIT “SISMANOGLIO” (1983-2019) – From 2012 to 2019 Head of the Independent Department of Quality Control, Research and Continuing Education.
- Member of the European Union Expert Group on Patient Safety and Quality of Care – Assignment of responsibilities by the Ministry of Health (2015-2019).
- Member (Vice-Chairman) of the National Committee for Rare Diseases-Diseases (EESNP) of the Central Health Council-Assignment of responsibilities by the Ministry of Health (2018-2021).
- Member of the Working Group for the specialization of criteria for the recognition of Centers of Expertise for Rare or Complex Diseases-Assignment of responsibilities by the Ministry of Health (2016-2017).
- Member of the Working Group for Efficiency and Effectiveness Indicators at the Health Quality Assurance Organization (ODIPY) (2020-2022).
- Vice-Chairman of the National Committee for Rare and Complex Diseases (2019-2021).
- Member of the Committee/Squad, with the aim of promoting the implementation of measures to control and prevent the spread of multi-resistant pathogens in the hospital environment, within the framework of the National Action Plan of KE.EL.P.NO-Assignment of responsibilities by the 1st Health Region of Attica (2015-2023).
She is a certified adult educator at the National Center for Public Administration and Local Government. She participates as a speaker in Scientific Conferences/Workshops/Clinical Tutoring, etc. She has published reviews and research papers and has been awarded for some of them.
