Digital Declaration of Birth

The “digital birth declaration” was established by Law 4659/2020 and was activated with the creation of a relevant application in the Information System of the Civil Registry of the Ministry of the Interior. With this action, which has universal application from 11-5-2020 within the birth area, a number of procedures are now completed from a single point of contact, namely:

1. Child birth declaration
2. Issue of birth certificate
3. Assignment of AMKA to the child
4. Registration of a child in a demographic (family) portion
5. Registration of a child in an insurance institution
6. Application for the birth allowance of €2,000.00 for each child
