VISITING POLICY – PREVENTIVE MEASURES

Visiting Policy

The visiting hours and rules are determined with a view to ensuring orderly and effective hospitalization, ensuring the hygiene and safety of recipients of health services and Hospital staff, and taking measures to prevent the transmission of respiratory and other infections.

The visiting hours are strictly observed and are as follows:
A) Outpatient Clinics: The patient comes for examination accompanied by a companion, if he wishes.
B) Patient Wards:
    Weekdays: afternoon 18.00 – 18.30 (summer 19.30 – 20.00)
    Saturday-Sunday-Holidays: 12.00 – 12.30 and 18.00 – 18.30 (summer 19.30-20.00)
C) Intensive Care Unit: morning12.00 – 12.30.
D) Heart Attack Unit: in consultation with the staff.
E) Blood donation: 08.00 – 18.00 daily.

Stay of relatives/accompanists

  • During a medical visit, when performing medical and nursing procedures or whenever requested by the staff, you must comply with the instruction to leave the hospital ward.
  • Staying in patient wards outside visiting hours is not allowed.
  • Children under 10 years of age are not allowed to enter – Children and adolescents up to 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
  • The use of tobacco products and electronic cigarettes (Law 3730/2008 and Law 4419/2016) and the consumption of alcohol are not allowed in all areas of the Hospital.
  • Relatives/patients are not allowed to enter staff work areas.
  • Relatives/accompanists are not allowed to stay during breastfeeding.
  • In the event that during hospitalization there is a need to use a caregiver, the nursing staff (Office of the Director of Nursing Services – Ground Floor) should be informed, so that an authorized caregiver can be called.

 

Informing patients/relatives/accompanists
Patients/relatives/companions are informed by the treating physician, following the schedule set each time.

Breastfeeding Room
Operates at the main entrance – Key is provided by the Nursing Service Directorate.
