The health of the blood donor is carefully examined.<\/p>\n<p>A history is taken, blood pressure is checked, and the donor is investigated for anemia. Before being administered, the blood is also thoroughly examined for diseases that either exist and are unknown, or that the donor has passed on without knowing it (hepatitis, syphilis, AIDS).<\/p>\n<p>If anything is found, the blood is not administered and the donor is notified to perform the necessary tests. The duration of the blood draw is only five minutes and is always done with disposable devices.<\/p>\n<p>The donor then lies down for another ten minutes and drinks a soft drink. It only takes ten minutes for the body to replenish the volume of blood that has been removed.<\/p>\n<p>It is advisable to avoid smoking and heavy physical work for one hour after donating blood.<\/p>\n<p>The frequency with which a blood donor can donate blood is every three or four months. Usually, regular blood donors donate blood three times a year.<\/p>\n<p>Blood is life.<\/p>\n<p>Only a human can pronounce it to another human.<\/p>\n<p>It is the duty of all of us to realize the importance of this offering.<\/p>\n<p>Give blood.
